IPL 2025: Most 200+ Scores in One Season – A New Record!

In a high-scoring match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) faced Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday. Batting first, SRH scored a huge total of 231 runs. With this match, IPL 2025 has officially set a new record for the most number of 200+ scores in a single season.

So far in this 18th season of IPL, teams have crossed the 200-run mark 42 times, beating the previous records: 41 times in 2024, 37 in 2023, 18 in 2022, and 15 in 2018. With a few matches still remaining, the number may go even higher.

Gujarat Titans (GT) have scored 200+ runs seven times, the highest in this season. Punjab Kings (PBKS) follow with six, while Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have five each. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have done it four times, and RCB has reached the milestone three times.

In the Friday match, SRH defeated RCB by 42 runs. RCB, chasing 232, were bowled out for 189. Even though RCB had already qualified for the playoffs, the loss pushed them to third place on the points table. Gujarat Titans continue to lead with 18 points.
