Gold prices saw a significant increase during Akshaya Tritiya. In Delhi, the price of 10 grams of pure gold rose by ₹1,050, reaching ₹99,450. The price of 99.9% pure gold dropped by ₹1,000 on Monday, falling to ₹98,400. However, just a day before Akshaya Tritiya, it returned to its previous price. The price of 99.5% pure gold rose by ₹1,100, bringing the price for 10 grams to ₹99,000. Before this, the price was ₹97,900 at the closing.
In December last year, the price of 10 grams of gold was ₹78,950. This year, it has risen by ₹20,500 (26%). Meanwhile, silver prices also surged significantly. On Tuesday, the price of silver per kilogram increased by ₹3,500, reaching a record high of ₹1,02,000. The price in the previous session was ₹98,500. On March 19, the price of silver per kilogram increased by ₹1,000, setting an all-time high of ₹1,03,500. Market experts say that the rise in gold prices before Akshaya Tritiya is typical.
