The famous spiritual destination Tirumala is usually crowded every day, with 50,000 to 1 lakh devotees visiting Lord Venkateswara. This often leads to long waiting hours for darshan. However, today the rush has reduced, possibly due to rainy weather.
At present, devotees are waiting in only three compartments for darshan. The waiting time for darshan is less than 4 hours. For the ₹300 Special Entry Darshan, it is taking about 2 to 3 hours, according to temple officials.
Yesterday, a total of 82,628 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Around 30,505 devotees offered their hair, and the temple’s hundi (donation box) collection amounted to ₹3.73 crore.
