Asia Cup 2025: India’s Big Win Over Pakistan – No Handshakes After the Match

India registered a thumping win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Chasing a modest target of 128, Team India wrapped up the match in just 15.5 overs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav played a responsible knock of 47* off 37 balls and guided India home on his birthday, making the win even more memorable. Opener Abhishek Sharma gave India a flying start with 31 runs off just 13 balls.

India’s bowlers were the real heroes of the match. Kuldeep Yadav picked up three crucial wickets to dismantle Pakistan’s batting lineup. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel claimed two wickets each, while Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakravarthy added one wicket apiece. As a result, Pakistan was restricted to just 127 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

However, an unusual incident grabbed attention after the game. Normally, players exchange handshakes at the end of the match as a gesture of sportsmanship. But this time, both Indian and Pakistani players left the field without shaking hands. Even during the toss, captains Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha did not shake hands or even make eye contact, sparking discussions among fans.

With this victory, India won both their group-stage matches and almost sealed their spot in the Super Four. If both teams qualify, India and Pakistan are likely to clash again next Sunday.
