Abhishek Sharma Destroys Pakistan – Record One-Innings Performance

In the 2025 Asia Cup, Indian youngster Abhishek Sharma led India to a spectacular 6-wicket victory over Pakistan. In the Super Four stage, Sharma played a blistering innings, scoring 74 runs off just 39 balls. His lightning-fast performance equaled the record for the fastest 50 in T20 cricket, helping India secure a decisive win.

With this innings, Sharma achieved several rare milestones. In only his 20th T20 international innings within 14 months of his debut, he reached the 50-six milestone, matching the world record previously held by Evin Lewis. He also became the fastest player in the world to reach 50 sixes, doing so in just 331 balls.

Additionally, Sharma became the first Indian to hit a six off the very first ball of an innings, facing Shaheen Afridi’s bowling. He broke the record for the fastest half-century against Pakistan, surpassing Yuvraj Singh’s previous record of 29 balls. His electrifying innings thrilled fans and cricket analysts alike.
