AP DSC Sports Quota 2025: 421 Teacher Posts – Applications Close on May 31

Amaravati, May 29: As previously announced, the Andhra Pradesh State Government released a notification earlier this month to fill 421 teacher posts under the DSC Sports Quota. The online application process will close on May 31. According to the Department of Education, a total of 3,411 applications have been received so far.

Following the closure of applications on May 31, document verification for applicants will begin from June 1, with arrangements being made under the supervision of the State Sports Authority (SAAP).

No written exam will be conducted for these posts. Selections will be based solely on eligibility criteria and sports achievements. In this context, the state government has increased the sports quota reservation from 2% to 3% in government job recruitments.

The notification for the selection of eligible candidates under the sports quota was released on May 2, and the posts will be allocated across state, zonal, and district levels.

So far, 2,251 sportspersons have submitted around 3,411 applications, with many applying for multiple posts, increasing the total number of applications. Officials estimate that over 5,000 applications may be submitted by the final deadline.

As part of the online application process, candidates are required to upload relevant documents, which will be verified starting June 1, with the verification process expected to continue for 30 days.

A preliminary merit list will be released based on the applicants' sports performance. Objections to this list will be accepted from July 1 for a period of seven days. After resolving objections within ten days, the final list will be prepared.

Once the final list is approved by the Department of Sports, it will be forwarded to the Department of Education, which will then release the final selection list for appointments.
