Amaravati, Aug 21:
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has approved India’s first comprehensive Circular Economy and Waste Recycling Policy (2025-30).
Framed under the Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision, the policy focuses on waste-to-wealth creation, featuring dual-tier infrastructure, industrial symbiosis models, task forces, and interactive dashboards to track circular economy progress. Officials said the policy will also boost MSMEs in the waste-to-wealth sector, creating new employment opportunities and promoting sustainable development.
Key Decisions in the Cabinet Meeting:

Tourism Land Allotment Policy: The Cabinet approved addendums to the AP Tourism Land Allotment Policy 2024-29, which include eligibility criteria, land bank notifications, proposal evaluation, and project timelines for tourism projects.

Official Language Commission: The Commission has been renamed as “Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao Official Language Commission” in recognition of his contributions to Telugu language promotion.

Land Lease for TDP Office: Approval was given to lease 2,954 sq. yards of municipal land in Guntur to the Telugu Desam Party office for 33 years, extendable up to 99 years, at a nominal rent.

Infrastructure Development: Administrative approval was given for ₹904 crores under the Development Infrastructure Facilities Program in Amaravati Capital Region, to develop LPS zones through EPC mode with seven years of operation and maintenance.

Land Allocation Review: The Cabinet approved recommendations of the 19th Group of Ministers regarding land allotments in CRDA region, authorizing the APCRDA Commissioner to implement them under the Amaravati Land Allotment Rules and Regulations.
State Minister for Information & Public Relations Kolasu Parthasarathi stated that the Cabinet reviewed challenges related to industrial waste, sustainability, and economic opportunities, reaffirming Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to green growth.
