Mumbai, May 13: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a poignant poem by his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, in which he called on Indian soldiers to rise with strength and silent determination. The poem conveyed that their actions should deliver a powerful message to the enemy, without needing words.

Amitabh took to his blog and expressed his gratitude to the Indian armed forces.

He wrote, “Jai Hind Jai Hind Ki Sena,” and shared his father’s powerful words. He then posted the poem, which reads:
“O hamaare vajra-durdam desh ke vikshubdh-krodhaatur jawaano! Kitkitakar aaj apne vajra ke-se dant bheencho, khade ho, aage badho, upar chadho, be-kanth khole. Bolna ho to tumhaare haath ki do choten bolen!”

Amitabh continued by sharing how the words of his father echoed loudly, resonating across the nation. He translated the meaning of the poem:
“Oh! the angered and dedicated Jawans of the Country .. clench your teeth .. stand up and move forward .. upward and beyond .. without giving any voice .. if you have to speak .. let the sound be heard of your slaps registered on the face of the enemy !!”

On May 11, Amitabh finally broke his silence regarding the Pahalgam attack, offering his support for Operation Sindoor. Amitabh, who had received criticism for not publicly commenting after the attack on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, returned to social media with a tribute blending his father’s poetic words.

The brutal massacre of 26 innocent civilians by the Pakistan-backed Resistance Front (TRF) in Pahalgam had kept Bachchan silent on social media. However, he chose not to mention Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly in his post.

Operation Sindoor refers to the precise retaliatory strikes by the Indian armed forces on May 7, which targeted nine key terror installations across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
