Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat RCB by 42 Runs in Big-Scoring IPL Match

Sunrisers Hyderabad Outclass RCB by 42 Runs in High-Scoring Encounter

Following their recent win over the Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their strong run with a commanding 42-run victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow.

Batting first after Bangalore chose to field, Sunrisers posted an imposing 231/6 in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan led the charge with a blistering 94* off 48 balls, hammering 7 fours and 5 sixes. Support came from a dynamic middle order, ensuring Hyderabad set a daunting target.

RCB began their chase strongly, with openers Philip Salt (62 off 32) and Virat Kohli (43 off 25) racing to 72 runs in the powerplay and putting on an 80-run partnership. However, once the pair fell, RCB’s innings unraveled quickly. Despite brief resistance from Jitesh Sharma (24 off 15), the middle and lower order collapsed, losing the last seven wickets for just 16 runs. They were bowled out for 189 in 19.5 overs.

Sunrisers captain Pat Cummins starred with the ball, finishing with 3/28. Ishan Malinga took two wickets, while Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, Harsh Dubey, and Nitish Kumar Reddy each chipped in with one.

This win marked Hyderabad’s fifth victory in 13 matches. They will face Kolkata Knight Riders in their final league game on May 25 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
