Tragic Incident in Kadapa District: Woman Dies After Electric Scooter Explodes

A tragic incident occurred in Kadapa district this morning when an electric scooter caught fire and exploded while charging at home, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old woman.

The incident took place in Potladurthi village of Yerraguntla mandal. Venkata Lakshmamma (62), a resident of the village, had placed her electric scooter on charge at home as usual. However, early in the morning, the scooter suddenly exploded with a loud bang.

Lakshmamma was sleeping nearby when the fire quickly spread to her. She suffered severe burns and succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving the information and began an investigation. The deceased’s body was sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities have registered a case and are probing the incident.

This unfortunate event has cast a shadow of grief over the village.
