Telangana to Receive Very Heavy Rains from Day After Tomorrow – Alert Issued

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rains in several districts of Telangana from July 13 to 16 due to a low-pressure area expected to form over the west-central Bay of Bengal. Districts like Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Nalgonda, Mahabubabad, Bhongir, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, and Medak are likely to receive intense rainfall.

The weather department has also predicted heavy rains today and tomorrow in many parts of the state. Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal are expected to see heavy showers, while other districts may receive light to moderate rainfall.

Yesterday, the highest rainfall was recorded in Akkapur, Nirmal district, at 11.05 cm. Officials have advised people to be cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpours.
