The Telangana government has taken a crucial step towards filling long-pending vacancies in the police department. According to reliable sources, preparations are underway to recruit a total of 12,452 police jobs across various categories. The police department has already submitted a detailed report of vacancies to the government.
As per the report submitted to the Finance Department, a large number of posts need to be filled through direct recruitment. Among them, the majority are in the Civil Police Constable category (8,442 posts), followed by Armed Reserve (AR) Constables with 3,271 vacancies. This will be a great opportunity for aspirants preparing for constable jobs.
In addition to constables, a significant number of Sub-Inspector (SI) posts are also vacant — including 677 Civil SI posts, 40 AR SI posts, and 22 TSP posts.
The Congress government is moving forward with this recruitment drive as per its election promise to release a job calendar and fill lakhs of vacancies. The official notification is expected to be released very soon.
