Telangana Offers 1.07 Lakh Engineering Seats for 2025 Admissions
Hyderabad, July 6:
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced that 1,07,218 engineering seats are available across 171 colleges in the state for the academic year 2025.
Out of the total, 76,795 seats (around 70%) will be filled under the Convenor quota. This update was shared as TGEAPCET-2025 qualified candidates were allowed to choose web options starting July 6. The last date to exercise options is July 10, and certificate verification ends on July 8. So far, 76,494 students completed verification, and 95,654 paid fees and booked slots.
According to Technical Education Commissioner Sridevasena, students are advised to select as many options as possible to increase their chances of getting a good college in the first round. Out of the total seats, 99,610 seats are in 148 private unaided colleges, and 5,808 seats are in 21 government university colleges. Popular branches include Computer Science (CSE) with 26,150 seats, AI & ML – 12,495, ECE – 10,125, Data Science – 6,996, and others. Some branches like Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, have very limited seats (30–42).
