Telangana Government Launches EAGLE Task Force to Fight Drug Problem

Hyderabad, June 26:
The Telangana government has started a special team called the EAGLE Task Force (Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement) to fight against drug use and illegal ganja farming in the state. This was launched by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The EAGLE Task Force will work all over the state to stop all drug-related activities. Their goal is to find and stop drug dealers, prevent ganja farming, and keep drugs out of Telangana. The team has trained officers, advanced cameras, and strong support from police and intelligence agencies. Their motto is "Zero Tolerance – Total Surveillance".

CM Revanth Reddy said that no ganja should be grown anywhere in Telangana, not even in forest areas. He also announced that the Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau (TGNAB) will now be called EAGLE. He warned that if youth get addicted to drugs, it is dangerous for the country. He also said that drugs are being mixed with chocolates and ice creams to attract students, and he asked the public to report any drug activities. Famous personalities like Ram Charan, Vijay Deverakonda, Dil Raju, and Pullela Gopichand also joined the event to support the anti-drug campaign.
