Rapido Steps into Food Delivery Service

Rapido, India’s popular bike taxi platform, has entered the online food delivery market with a new app named "Only". This move is part of Rapido’s business expansion strategy, adding food delivery to its existing ride services.

At present, the service is available in select areas of Bengaluru. Rapido has partnered with well-known food brands such as Wow, Eat Fit, Crispy, and Cream. Most food items listed on the app are priced under ₹150, making it an affordable choice for customers.

The food delivery market in India is dominated by platforms like Zomato and Swiggy. Rapido plans to compete by charging restaurants only 8–15% commission, much lower than its competitors. Established in 2015, Rapido is now the second-largest ride-sharing platform in India, operating in over 500 cities. The company already uses its bike network to deliver orders from individual restaurants, and this launch aims to expand those services.
