India Post Launches New Mobile App to Simplify Postal and Online Services

Now, all postal services are just a tap away on your smartphone!
No need to stand in long queues for Speed Post or parcel bookings anymore.

The India Post Department has launched a new mobile application called “Dak Sewa”, bringing all major postal services right to the users’ fingertips. Through this app, people can easily track parcels and money orders in real time, pay insurance premiums, and even register complaints instantly.

Introducing the app with the slogan “Post Office in Your Pocket”, India Post announced the launch through its official X (Twitter) handle. With this single app, users can access almost all essential postal services anytime, anywhere — including parcel tracking, postage rate calculation, complaint registration, and premium payments.

Through the Dak Sewa app, customers can track their Speed Post, Registered Post, and Money Order details in real time. They can also easily calculate the charges for domestic and international parcels. From now on, users don’t need to visit post offices and wait in queues — parcel and Speed Post bookings can be done directly through the app.

Additionally, with the help of GPS, users can locate the nearest post office with ease. A special section has also been added for corporate users, offering business-friendly postal solutions.
Overall, this move marks another major step by India Post toward modernization and digital transformation, bringing postal services closer to every citizen.
