Nita Ambani Donates ₹1 Crore to Balkampet Yellamma Temple for Annadanam

Reliance Industries Chairperson Nita Ambani has donated ₹1 crore to the famous Balkampet Yellamma and Pochamma Temple in Hyderabad. The donation amount was credited to the temple's official bank account on Wednesday.

On April 23, 2024, Nita Ambani’s mother Poornima Dalal and sister Mamatha Dalal visited the temple and offered special prayers to the goddess. During their visit, the then Executive Officer (EO) Krishna explained the significance and history of the temple and requested their support for ongoing development activities.

Responding positively to the temple management’s appeal, Nita Ambani has now contributed ₹1 crore as a generous donation.

The current in-charge EO, Mahender Goud, stated that the amount will be placed in a fixed deposit, and the interest earned will be used to fund a daily annadanam (free meal program) for devotees at the temple. He mentioned that this donation will greatly help the temple in providing uninterrupted food services to visiting devotees.
