Hyderabad: Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has ordered heightened alertness for the next week in Hyderabad due to heavy rains. Personally inspecting the areas around Hussain Sagar lake, he disclosed the release of 2 thousand cusecs of water downstream to manage the water levels.

Additionally, Minister Talasani addressed concerns about illegal constructions near Nala and assured appropriate action, including possible compensation.

Continuous heavy rains have caused Hussain Sagar to reach its full capacity, with the water level reaching 513.62 meters, surpassing the usual level of 514.75 meters. As a precautionary measure, authorities are opening the gates of Sagar to release water downstream.
