Malaysia Helicopter Crash: 5 Injured Including 2 Senior Police Officers
A police helicopter crashed into the Pulai River in Johor, Malaysia, injuring five people, including two senior police officers. According to reports, two of the injured are in critical condition.
Malaysia’s Civil Aviation Authority stated that the incident happened during a mock drill. The drill was part of a multinational nuclear safety exercise named Mitsotrom 2025, involving countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.
The helicopter, an Airbus AS355N, took off from Tanjung Kupang Police Station and was heading towards the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) jetty near Gelang Patah. Unfortunately, it crashed into the river shortly before reaching its destination.
Rescue teams quickly reached the site and saved all five onboard, including the pilot. Two of the injured were reported to be in serious condition. Videos of the crash have gone viral on social media.
