Legendary action star Jackie Chan needs no formal introduction. His films have not only dominated the Asian market but also made a strong mark in Hollywood. Known for his versatility, Chan has excelled as an actor, director, producer, screenwriter, singer, action choreographer, and stunt performer.

This August, he will be honored with a prestigious award. On August 9, during the 78th Locarno Film Festival (taking place from August 6 to 16), Jackie Chan will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to cinema.

Festival Artistic Director Giona A. Nazzaro remarked, “Jackie Chan is a true multi-talent—an actor, producer, director, writer, singer, and daredevil stuntman. Honoring such a personality is a privilege for the Locarno Film Festival.”

Last year, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was the recipient of this honor. Now at the age of 71, Jackie Chan may not perform high-risk stunts like before, but he continues to leave his mark through impactful roles on screen.
