Apple’s newly released iOS 26 update has caused dissatisfaction among iPhone users. Announced during the June Developer Conference, the new version was recently made officially available. However, many users who installed the update have reported performance issues on social media platforms.

Main complaints from users include:

• Slow device performance

One user posted on X, “iOS 26 update has made my phone unusable.” Another questioned, “Battery dropped 21% within an hour, what’s happening?” Some users also reported that their battery health dropped to 80% after updating.

Apple has clarified that these issues are temporary. “After a major iOS update, background processes like data indexing, file downloads, and app updates occur. These can temporarily affect battery life. However, this is only temporary,” Apple stated on its support page.
