Indian Stock Market: Trump’s Statement Boosts Market — Sensex and Nifty in Big Gains

Ceasefire Between Iran and Israel Boosts Stock Market Sentiment

The Indian stock market opened with strong gains on Tuesday after international news brought positive signals. A ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, announced by former US President Donald Trump, helped reduce global tensions. This led investors to show interest in buying, especially in sectors like auto, IT, PSU banks, and financial services.

By 9:31 AM, the Sensex rose by 756.5 points (0.92%) to trade at 82,653.33, while the Nifty jumped 229 points (0.92%) to reach 25,200.90. Market experts said the fear of war has reduced, thanks to the ceasefire news. Nifty Bank was up by 557.25 points (0.99%) at 56,616.60. Midcap and Smallcap indices also saw gains.

Top gainers included Adani Ports, Mahindra & Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, L&T, Titan, SBI, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, and Bajaj Finserv. However, some stocks like NTPC, BEL, and Trent were in the red. Global markets in Asia — including Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Jakarta — also traded in the green. US markets closed positively in the previous session with Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq all showing healthy growth.
