Opener Pathum Nissanka scored a brilliant century (107), supported by Kushal Perera’s half-century (58).

Key wickets by Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, and Arshdeep Singh helped India restrict Sri Lanka. In the final over, with 12 runs required, Nissanka was dismissed on the first ball by Harshit Rana, tying the scores.

In the Super Over, Arshdeep Singh produced magic, conceding just 2 runs and taking 2 crucial wickets. India needed only 3 runs, which Suryakumar Yadav scored on the first ball, securing a thrilling win.

India’s innings saw brilliant contributions from Abhishek Sharma (61) and Tilak Varma (49*), supported by Sanju Samson and Axar Patel (21*). Even though India had already reached the final, winning this match showcased their fighting spirit.
