The Tirupati-Sainagar Shirdi Express has been converted into a regular train following a proposal by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced. The train, which was running temporarily as a special express (Train No. 07637/07638) between the famous pilgrimage centers of Tirupati and Shirdi, has now been given permanent status.
The decision to regularize the train was made considering a letter sent by Chandrababu Naidu on June 2. Minister Vaishnaw expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and confirmed that the train will now run regularly.
The train will travel via Renigunta, Dharmavaram, Raichur, Sholapur, and Daund stations, making travel between Tirupati and Shirdi more convenient for devotees. Proposals are being considered to operate it once or twice a week. The Railway Ministry stated that passengers will benefit from a reliable and affordable travel option.
