Temples Reopened After Lunar Eclipse

After the lunar eclipse ended, several famous temples across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana reopened for devotees. As per Hindu tradition, temples remain closed during an eclipse and are reopened only after purification rituals and Samprokshanam.
Major Temples & Reopening Timings
- Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple: Reopened at 2:40 AM. Priests performed private Suprabhata Seva before darshan. Waiting time for free darshan is around 12 hours.
- Srisailam Mallikarjuna Temple: Opened at 5:00 AM, darshan started at 7:30 AM.
- Simhachalam Devasthanam (Visakhapatnam): Darshan began at 8:00 AM.
- Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple (Visakhapatnam): Reopened at 9:00 AM.
- Basara Saraswati Temple: Conducted purification rituals, Aksharabhyasam and other services resumed.
- Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Temple: Reopened at 3:30 AM, regular rituals followed.
- Kanaka Durga Temple (Vijayawada): Darshan started from 8:30 AM.
- Bhadrachalam Sri Sitarama Temple: Doors opened at 3:00 AM, darshan allowed from 7:30 AM after rituals.
