From Today, Door Delivery of Ration for Elderly and Disabled Cardholders in AP

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision to provide ration through door delivery for elderly and disabled ration cardholders starting from today (Thursday). The government has directed dealers to deliver July month’s ration four days in advance to these beneficiaries.

Though the decision was announced in June, due to lack of awareness, many elderly and disabled people went to ration shops during the first week of this month. To avoid such inconvenience, the government has now instructed officials and dealers to start early door delivery for July.

Village and ward secretariat staff have been given the responsibility to monitor the delivery process. While ration distribution for all other cardholders will be held from July 1 to 15, dealers will deliver ration directly to the homes of elderly and disabled persons starting today. The required essential goods have already been supplied to the ration shops under the orders of higher authorities.
