Anirudh Ravichander’s appearance at the Telugu pre-release event of Jailer 2 has raised expectations among fans who are eager to know whether the music director will join Ram Charan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled RC17. The event could become a talking point for fans of both Anirudh and the Mega hero if he addresses the ongoing expectations surrounding the project.
Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 15, 2026. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the sequel is among the eagerly anticipated releases for Tamil and Telugu movie audiences.
The Telugu pre-release event is scheduled to take place with members of the film's team attending, except for Rajinikanth. Anirudh Ravichander is expected to perform live at the event, adding to the excitement surrounding the promotional programme.
However, the main question for many fans is whether Anirudh will reveal anything about his possible involvement in RC17, which brings together actor Ram Charan and director Sukumar. Although expectations are growing, there is no confirmed announcement in the provided information establishing Anirudh as the film's music composer.
If Anirudh joins RC17, it would mark his next collaboration with a Mega hero after Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi, released eight years earlier. The soundtrack of that film continues to hold a special place among audiences, making the possibility of another collaboration particularly interesting for his fans.
Many admirers are hoping for an official confirmation during the Jailer 2 event. Whether Anirudh addresses the speculation on stage, however, remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, RC17 is expected to have its formal launch around Dussehra, according to the information provided. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project, which reunites Ram Charan and Sukumar. Further details about the film's cast and technical crew are expected to be announced later.
For now, Anirudh's possible association with RC17 remains unconfirmed. His appearance at the Jailer 2 promotional event has nevertheless created anticipation among fans waiting for an update on the film's music composer.
