Quantum Computing Boost in Amaravati: 50-Acre Quantum Computing Center Announced

Quantum Valley to be Established in Amaravati – 50 Acres Allocated for Project

Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, is set to take a major step forward in the field of Information Technology (IT). The state government has approved the establishment of the “Amaravati Quantum Valley” in collaboration with global tech giant IBM. The State IT and Electronics Department has officially issued orders regarding the project.

As part of the initiative, a 50-acre Quantum Computing Center (AQCC) will be set up in Amaravati. IBM will play a crucial role in this project and has come forward to provide a 133-bit system along with a 5k-gate quantum computer free of cost.

According to government proposals accepted by IBM, the company will pay ₹30 per square foot and also provide free internet services for four years (365 hours per year) to government offices and educational institutions across the state.

Officials believe that the establishment of this Quantum Valley will give a new direction to IT innovation and advanced technology in the capital region.
