The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision regarding inter-state employee allocation. It has issued orders transferring 58 Telangana employees who were still working in various departments across Andhra Pradesh since the state’s bifurcation.
Among those being transferred are Class 3 and Class 4 employees. The AP government approved this transfer process after agreeing to the conditions set by the Telangana government.
During the state bifurcation process, several Telangana-origin employees were allocated to Andhra Pradesh. However, 58 of them had opted to serve in Telangana but remained in AP due to administrative reasons.
Some of these employees lacked proper guidance during the allocation, while others were recruited under compassionate grounds and later requested to move to their home state.
After repeated appeals, the Andhra Pradesh government held consultations with Telangana officials and finally agreed to transfer them as per Telangana’s terms. The GAD (General Administration Department) released official orders on Friday, relieving the employees to join the Telangana service.
Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government had already transferred 698 Telangana employees back to their home state. With these latest orders, the remaining 58 will soon join service under the Telangana government, officially concluding a long-pending issue from the state bifurcation.
