Pawan Kalyan’s Haiku Track ‘Washi Yo Washi’ from ‘They Call Him OG’ Out Now

Chennai, Sep 19: The makers of director Sujeeth’s highly anticipated action film ‘They Call Him OG’, starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, released the much-awaited track ‘Washi Yo Washi’ on Friday, delighting fans. Sung by Pawan Kalyan and set to music by Thaman, the song is presented as a Haiku, where his character instructs the antagonist Omi on how he intends to defeat him, with the Haiku delivered in Japanese. Prior glimpses of the film, released on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, showcased the antagonist plotting against OG and attacking victims with a baseball bat, while OG wields a Japanese Katana sword, promising intense action and suspense. Featuring a strong ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy, and produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, the film is hailed as one of 2025’s biggest cinematic events. Cinematography is handled by Ravi K Chandran ISC and Manoj Paramahamsa ISC, with editing by Navin Nooli. Originally slated for a global release on September 27 last year, the film is now scheduled to hit screens on September 25 this year, promising a high-octane mix of action, mass appeal, and gripping drama.
