AP Assembly Sessions Begin Today Under Chandrababu Naidu’s Leadership

TDP Proposes Discussion on 20 Key Items!
Six Ordinances to be Replaced with Bills; Cabinet Meeting Today

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly sessions are set to commence today, expected to continue for a week or ten days. The NDA coalition, fresh from the successful “Super Six Super Hit” programs, is enthusiastically preparing for the sessions. Meanwhile, the YSR Congress Party continues to stay away from the Assembly, insisting they will attend only if their leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is given the position of Leader of Opposition. However, YSRCP members will participate in the Legislative Council sessions.

During these sessions, the government plans to introduce six bills in place of ordinances. Key bills include amendments to Panchayati Raj and municipal laws, AP Motor Vehicle Tax Bill, SC categorization bill, and the India International University of Legal Education and Research bill. Discussions will cover 20 topics, including policy implementation, promotion of new investments, filling 16,000 teacher posts through DSC, progress of Super-6, P-4, and irrigation projects.

The Assembly will start at 9 AM, and the Legislative Council at 10 AM today. Following the Q&A sessions, the government will introduce several papers in the House. Subsequently, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will discuss the number of sitting days and the agenda items.

A cabinet meeting will be held this afternoon to deliberate on the bills to be introduced and to approve them. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will give directions to ministers on how to respond during the Assembly proceedings.
