CM Chandrababu Naidu: Skill Training in Andhra Pradesh to Create 20 Lakh Jobs

CM Chandrababu Naidu’s Mission: 20 Lakh Jobs Through Skill Training in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that creating 20 lakh jobs for youth is the main goal of the state government. He directed officials to provide proper skill development training and link it with job opportunities through a centralized Skill Portal. During a review meeting with the Skill Development Department, he emphasized using artificial intelligence (AI) to identify job opportunities across India and globally, and integrate this data into the portal.

The CM instructed that once youth register on the portal, their resumes should be generated automatically, and they should receive regular job updates. He mentioned that the state has already signed investment deals worth ₹9.5 lakh crore, which are expected to create 8.5 lakh jobs. He stressed that training must match the needs of these companies, especially for students who completed IT courses.

Human Resources Minister Nara Lokesh informed the CM that after the new government came to power, 1,164 job fairs were held in 175 constituencies, and 61,991 youth have already received jobs. Through the Skill Development Corporation, 74,834 candidates were placed. The portal will also offer information about registrations, training, certifications, placements, industry connections, and even foreign language training. The CM ordered that each constituency should create at least 1,500 jobs this year, and industries should be encouraged to implement apprenticeship programs.
